Corporate Spotlight: Apex Disaster Specialist
We would like to thank our Corporate Sponsor, Apex Disaster Relief Specialists for sponsoring our Thanksgiving Service this past fall. Through their support we were able to feed 600 families for Thanksgiving this past holiday season, where an average of 10 meals per week are missed by kids.
In addition to bridging the food gap over the holidays, there is also a need to bridge this food gap and keep kids nourished over the summer break. During summer break, the average student in our program can miss 110 meals. The Food For Thought summer service program will provide food for 600 families, providing them each with a month worth of food, three times (food for three months in total). By becoming a Summer program sponsor, you will empower children to be well-fed to enjoy their summer break!
Found out more information HERE on our Corporate Sponsorship for the summer program, or contact us today: support@fftfl.org.

Thank You WCSO Employee Foundation
When a call from the Walton County Sheriff's Office comes in, you answer and when they want to bring you a check, you squeal with joy!! They didn't just bring a check, they brought a $5,000 check and that kind of acknowledgement from our uniformed friends makes for a great day, week and month!!
Thank you Deputy T.J. Brooks and Captain Audie Rowell for delivery of the check and thank you to the Walton County Sheriff's Office Employee Foundation and the "Let the Green Be Seen" Program for your support and careful watch in our community!!

Thank You Walton County Extension Office
Garden Initiative in Progress!
Thank you to Daniel Leonard and Evan Anderson from the UF IFAS Walton County Extension Office for coming out to work with the students from Walton Academy Charter School on their school garden! The Garden Initiative started last season with a thriving garden on campus and students continue to cultivate the initiative with a spring garden this month.
The IFAS, Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences, team helped with an outline for garden maintenance, harvesting, and replanting throughout the year. The team worked with the students to help them gain an understanding of how and why certain fruits and vegetables were planted and how to best cultivate them for a high yield.
