The Program Specialists are on the front lines of our daily program activities and therefore must work as passionate ambassadors and advocates of our programs. The Program Specialist provides continuity within our full scope of service year - round with their organizational knowledge and understanding of our standard operating procedures. A Program Specialist will be onsite with our volunteers in our pantry locations or out in the community providing services at least 50% of the time.
Employees may be required to attend events and/or be available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the Organization. Employees may be required to work in a variety of locations to provide services throughout the year. This full time, hourly, role should expect to work an average of 36-40 hours per week with a schedule that is created to meet the needs of the programs.

Full Time, Hourly, Program Specialist
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- On-site and in the field leader of program execution year-round
- Leads packing shifts with volunteer groups
- Works with volunteers in the field, providing services
- Provides consistent volunteer experiences that uphold the mission, vision, and values of the organization
- Upholds program standards across all services
- Upholds standard operating procedures
- Protects the program services and organizational resources
- Upholds pantry standards weekly
- Maintains accurate, shared information in the drive
- Schedules volunteers for support shifts and special programs
- Proactive communication of needs to the supervisor
- Share wins and opportunities with the supervisor
- Swiftly communicate incidents or issues to the supervisor
- Works with the team and volunteers to maintain the pantry, inventory, and cleaning standards
- Demonstrates program culture with a deep understanding of organizational history, purpose, mission, and operating standards
- Infuses awareness of organizational activities, needs, and programs with volunteers and partners, both internal and external
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed

Summer Seasonal : May-July, working Tuesday - Thursday weekly with an average of 25 hours per week.
Essential Functions :
- On-site for weekly summer curbside services in Okaloosa and Walton Counties
- On-site for all packing and inventory movement in advance of delivery
- Support the warehouse organization of food, supplies, and equipment
- Drive fleet vans/trucks to support services and food movement
- Work with volunteers weekly in the pantry and out in the field
- Work with the program team in support of all summer programs
- Support projects and priorities of the organization
- Learn the standard operating procedures of the organization
- Operated across both Walton & Okaloosa Counties as needed
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
SCHEDULE AND AVAILABILITY:
Seasonal employees are required to be available for work during peak program service hours, which occur in the early mornings and evenings. Summer seasonal employees must be available to work a minimum of 25 hours per week from Tuesday to Thursday during June and July.
