Thank you to The Destin Commons for sponsoring and hosting the Smoke on the Coast BBQ and Fireworks Festival! We are fortunate to be able to be one of the of the beneficiaries to receive $2.5K for Food For Thought Outreach! It was also great to be able to join Paula Deen's Family Kitchen to serve BBQ to guests of the festival.  Thank you to all who joined us!

  • Walton County Chamber of Commerce Luncheon

On Wednesday, July 10th we had the privilege of hosting the Walton County Chamber of Commerce "Power of Networking Luncheon," at the Santa Rosa Beach pantry.  We love when we can share our facility with local businesses and organizations and the monthly luncheon for the Chamber of Commerce was the perfect opportunity to do so.

Almost 80 members of the Walton County Chamber of Commerce attended and they were able to walk through our facility, talk to other business owners and enjoy a lunch prepared by Marrow Private Chefs. Then fun was had by all with some networking fun playing a modified version of Family Feud!

It was great to also be able to share our mission here at Food For Thought and share opportunities to be able to get involved, especially with the upcoming school year.

  • Thank You, Stubbs Orthodontics!

We would like to recognize and thank Stubbs Orthodontics for their donation this month! At their office, they held a peanut butter and jelly drive asking patients and staff to bring in jars of PB&J to the office, and they also collected money to give back to Food For Thought Outreach.  In all, they raised $830 and a cart load of peanut butter and jelly, which will be used in our summer program.

Menus are simple and easy to follow and lead; we just need people who like to cook and want to teach and lead kids in the kitchen!

See below photos from recent classes - it's a fun time had by all!
