Who What Where? Early at the Good News Church
Who - What - Where?
Any guess Where this is?! Before Food For Thought had our own location, we were fortunate to be able to use space at Good News Church in Santa Rosa Beach to store food and pack backpacks on a weekly basis. We are thankful for the continued partnership we have had with this Church, even as we outgrew their donated space and moved into our location in 2011! -
Jumpback Monday: Full Circle Kitchen
Jumpback Monday!
A few weeks ago we saw the first glimpse of the Santa Rosa Beach pantry when we first purchased the location - here is the pantry a few years in with some of the renovations completed - still was a long way from where we are today. We are so thankful for our completed pantry in Santa Rosa Beach that allows us to pack backpacks weekly, in addition to having cooking classes for students in the Emeril Lagasse Full Circle Kitchen! -
Who What Where? - First Delivery
Who - What - Where?
Any guess What this is?
These bags are the first delivery of food to schools in 2010. We look at these four bags and are amazed at how many more (3,296!) students are now fed due to the help and generosity of our community! -
Volunteer Spotlight: Alternative Spring Break Students
Prior to Christmas, we were fortunate to have a group of 12 students from the University of Illinois - Chicago come to Santa Rosa Beach to volunteer over their holiday break. Instead of going home to relax while classes were out, they gave their time and talents to assist Food For Thought in prepping and handing out the Christmas Meals! We are so grateful for their help - their additional hands allowed for so much to get done during this busy time of year!
Thank you! (And thank you for the recap video - we are glad you also enjoyed the area!)
