The Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation announced officially last week that the foundation received their largest single donation in history, $1MM, from the Jumonville family!  In total, the 2019 wine auction raised more than $3.6MM.

“We have never received a gift of this magnitude and we are so very grateful to be chosen as the recipient of such magnanimous support of our mission to help the children of Northwest Florida.” - John Russell, President DCWAF.

Ryan D. “Jume” Jumonville and his wife Raven live in the Destin area with their four young children.  Jumonville is originally from Louisiana, and began his first company at the age of 24; he now is the chairman of United Networks of America, and involved in other business ventures.

This gift from the Jumonville family to the DCWAF, comes after sharing that he has joined "The Giving Pledge," a philanthropic organization founded by Bill and Melinda Gates, which is comprised of some of the world's wealthiest families that have pledged to give back the majority of their wealth.

There are 16 benefiting local charities from the DCWAF, Food For Thought being one of them, that will receive a portion of Jumonville's gift during the September 4th check presentation at the Henderson Beach Resort. The remainder of this gift, will be invested into the Jumonville Family Children's Fund.

Food for Thought is very thankful to be a part of the DCWAF, and for Mr. Jumonville graciously donating this much appreciated gift that will directly benefit the children of Northwest Florida.  We cannot thank him enough!
