On April 5th we kick off another fun weekend with the Emeril Lagasse Foundation! We are excited as this is our 6th year as one of the beneficiaries. The Throwdown Benefit Auction & BBQ on April 7th is a spirited outdoor barbeque competition featuring 5 star-studded cooking teams of acclaimed winemakers, pitmasters and well-known chefs, along with exclusive wines poured by some of Napa Valley and Sonoma's best winemakers.
At the Throwdown we will be auctioning a lot to directly benefit Food For Thought. Executive Chef Dan Vargo of Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa and Executive Chef Laurie Graupner of Seagar’s Prime Steaks & Seafood join forces to craft a decadent multiple course dinner in the Emeril Lagasse Foundation Full Circle Kitchen which raises funds to purchase 40,000 food items that will assist in feeding 3,000 children in Walton and Okaloosa counties. Their generous grant to fund the Full Circle Kitchen in our Santa Rosa Beach pantry has provided local school students a fully functional teaching kitchen with basic cooking equipment and a safe learning environment to acquire the skills necessary to prepare a meal.
