We are looking to add volunteers to help support our growing program, and we have several volunteer outreach sessions scheduled to support our needs. The next session in on July 26th in the Destin pantry from 9-9:30 AM. Each session will be about 30 minutes. There will be time for Q&A, new volunteer paperwork, and explanation of volunteer opportunities for the upcoming 2017-2018 school year.

If you can't make it to this session, here's a list of other opportunities:

• July 26th afternoon session- 4-4:30 PM @ Destin Pantry
• August 16th morning session- 8:30-9 AM @ Destin Pantry
• August 16th evening session- 5:30-6 PM @ Destin Pantry
• August 17th morning session- 8:30-9 AM @ Destin Pantry
• August 17th evening session- 5:30-6 PM @ Destin Pantry

Current volunteers are also encouraged to attend to learn about volunteer needs this new school year. Please pass on this information to your family and friends, as we need at least 100 new volunteers to meet the needs of our growing service areas.

Kick off FFT's Back to School efforts by joining us August 24th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at our Santa Rosa Beach Pantry at 132 Market St.! We expect this year to be another spirited competition! Will anyone be able to take down 3-time reigning champs, Ohana Institute?!

Guests are asked to bring 5 food items or $5 for entry into the event. There's also still time to become a Backpack Sponsor with a $500 donation.

As we continue to grow, so must our pantry space! We have been working with Archiscapes Architects on the plans and Ryan Harp Construction, LLC on the build to renovate our current pantry/warehouse space in Santa Rosa Beach to create 75% more storage capacity! Renovation is scheduled to go through the end of August, so all volunteer efforts and donation should be made at the Destin pantry. Here are the "Before" photos and the plans for the renovated space. Stay tuned for updates!

Shop from 12-5 on July 16th at the glassybaby pop up shop located at Williams Sonoma in Destin Commons, and glassybaby will donate 10% of the proceeds to Food For Thought. Come shop and support FFT!
